Our Commitment

A message from our CEO, Dean Nelson

Cato Digital was founded on the principle that we should maximize the utilization of the capacity we build in digital infrastructure by leveraging software-defined principles. Simply put, we should fully utilize what we build.

2022 has been a year of industry alignment and unification. In the first half of the year I published an article to define the digital infrastructure industry and establish a baseline in which we could all work from. There are 7 million data centers globally with 105GW of built capacity consuming 594 Terrrawatt hours of energy every year. This equates to 2.4% of the global energy draw. An opportunity emerged

There is over 30Gigawatts of data center power capacity globally that is never used. That is not economically or ecologically sustainable.
